12 Great ideas for a cosy autumn home

This week has been all about fall fashion and we kicked it off with the women's and men's collections and today we turn our attention to our homes.

4 FALL LIGHTING IDEAS

I do think lighting is quite under appreciated in general. Often there is just one main light in each room when strategic lighting including chandeliers, table lamps and candles can really warm up a house perfectly for autumn. The collection today starts of with this very dramatic twisted wooden lamp shade (From: Baraboda), it is a hugely different piece and adds great detail to a main room or if you are lucky to live in a big house, perhaps the entrance hallway. The second piece is a very cute bubble chandelier, that looks very delicate but is quite playful at the same time (From: The Light Factory). The next is a very simple yet still fascinating geometric lantern for a candle or tea light, perfect for understated romantic lighting (From: Lonesome Hobo). The final piece is a pretty genius piece featuring mason jars formed to make a twisted chandelier (From: Industrial Rewind)

WARMING UP: A TALE OF 4 SOUP BOWLS

Autumn is synonymous with soup for me, loads of soup especially since it can get very cold here in England. There is nothing better than having soup out of a very unusual and unique bowl. I love all 4 of these bowls (and lots more that I hope to feature in future!). Each one is unique in its own right! The wonderful artists who made this curation possible are Orit Creative WorkshopAlice in Montreal, Ekizen Ceramic and Blue Parrot Pots.

4 WAYS TO ADD A WOODLAND FEEL TO YOUR FALL DECOR

I feel like autumn is one of the best times to really appreciate nature, so it is just right that a woodland theme may be one that you consider for your fall decor. I began with a piece that I think feels timeless (pun intended, it is a clock!), sometimes some decor you put out for a little while and take down but this gorgeous birch wood clock can stay all year round (From: urbanplusforest). The next piece is one that you can add to your mantelpiece as a little objet d'art that will amuse any guests that you may have (From: foxtailcreekstudio). The third is a lovely woodland theme lampshade, pretty British, but then I do live in England so yes I would love this one (From: Light Flight Lighting) and the final piece is from a ceramic plate genius, love love the designs from this studio and today's pick is a lovely autumnal leaf (From: Ceraminic)

Join us tomorrow for the vintage take, which was hugely challenging but I think I did well!

I have to recognize that finding a main light is really complicated for me, and there is a huge amount of beautiful designs, but I have always thought is easier with table lamps :S
